By day it is an aquarium; by night it is another world.
As daylight fades, the aquarium takes on a new character. Reflections multiply on the large glass panels, colours become more intense, sounds become enveloping, and every tank becomes a window onto a living, ancient world.
The Breath of the Depths is the experience you least expect:
a nocturnal encounter with the creatures of the sea.
From the
Humboldt penguin colony, with their lively little families, you’ll pass through the large door shaped like a
shark’s mouth to come face to face with the sea.
Pass through the
mangrove grove to reach the large central tank, where
sharks reveal their true nature — rulers of the sea, not predators to be feared — then walk through the tunnel surrounded by the sea on all sides to reach the ‘
Relitto dei Giganti’, the
new attraction for 2026.
This large tank shows you how the sea reclaims abandoned spaces, transforming the rusted metal of a ship’s hull into a refuge for new forms of life.
At the end, in the touch pool,
stingrays and dasyatis await you with their velvety wings.
