Cattolica Aquarium awaits you every Saturday and Sunday in October
Special days: Happy Halloween on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November!
News of the Season: the Penguin Chicks and the Wreck of the Giants.
Don’t-miss the highlights!
The penguin chicks. Come and see how much Mela and Biscotto have grown! They swim alongside the Humboldt penguin colony and are among the most adorable stars of the season.
The Wreck of the Giants. The sunken wreck that has become home to giant groupers, moray eels and brightly coloured scorpionfish: silent guardians of a sea worth protecting.
Your routes
BLUE entrance. Marvel at the huge bull sharks and the winged sharks, and meet jellyfish, seahorses, clownfish, unicornfish and batfish.
GREEN entrance. Step into the reptile house and get up close to snakes, basilisks and bearded dragons. Don’t be afraid if you come across pythons, boas, poison dart frogs and hissing cockroaches!
YELLOW entrance. Ever seen a caiman’s teeth break the surface of the water? Spot their silent presence in this rriver-systems realm, home also to Asian small-clawed otters.
PURPLE entrance. If you thought insects are teeny-weeny beings, wait until you see them supersized! The “Giant Insects XXL Edition” exhibition features 70 life-size replicas, including a three-metre-high mantis and a five-metre-long ant.
Happy Halloween at the Aquarium
On Halloween weekend, the lair of the Great Shell becomes the home of bizarre creatures: Zombie Jellies, Phantomfish, Gigacrabs and Octopumpkins. The gaping jaws of a huge shark are the portal to the BLUE route. Get ready for a breathtaking adventure beneath the surface of the sea.
